Updating a pattern

I'm working on several items right now. One is a knitted teddy bear that I thought for certain I had posted on this blog if not on my site. I have searched far and wide and cannot find my written version of that pattern.

The 'Simply Soft Bear' is sitting on a shelf in my living room, so I know I didn't dream of making him! He's there. I am going to make certain I look long and hard at that bear and write down the directions for him although basically, I knitted rectangles with, I think, size 8 needles.

I am also updating my 2 needle mittens for kids. You can find the current pattern here:
http://www.bevscountrycottage.com/2-needlemitts.html

Basically, I am using smaller needles (size 6) for the cuffs and adding a couple of rows in between the cuff and the thumb. I'm not at home right now so I don't have photos, but I will get that pattern updated as soon as possible. I was thinking I might add a stitch to the cuffs and do a seed stitch cuff to add more variety. I know, I am really into seed stitch these days.

I am in addition still knitting and writing out a pattern for the hat my mom made me in college that I wear even now, and LOVE! Every time I place it on my head it reminds me of that dear lady. Mine is cream colored, but the new one will be a rose color. Not sure who will receive that hat yet.

And, if I didn't have enough to do, I also want to make these preemie booties in a newborn and 3 month sizes for my website although I will need to change the name! Meanwhile, here they are in preemie size so you can make a few pairs for a hospital near you:
------

BEV'S PREEMIE THUMB BOOTIES
Copyright Beverly A. Qualheim – 2003, 2005 - All Rights Reserved
These are called thumb booties because they are the length of my thumb (approx 2 ½”) which is a great size for many preemies (3 1/2 lbers to 5 lbers)
Scraps of Red Heart Simply Soft, Worsted weight yarn - it isn’t a real heavy yarn.
Now, to make 2” booties use baby yarn or sport weight yarn.
Size F hook (preemie size 2-3 lbers)
TOE Rnd 1: Ch 2, 6 sc in 2nd ch from hook - do NOT join. (7 sc)
Rnd 2: Ch 2, sc in same stitch, 2 sc in each sc around (14 sc)
Rnd 3: Ch 2, sc in each sc around. Do 2 more rnds like rnd 3. (total of 6 rounds)
Rnd 7: Ch 1, sc in next 9 sc, ch 1 and turn. (9 sc)
Rnd 8-12: Repeat rnd 7
End off and sew up back seam of heel.

CUFF

Rnd 1: Ch 1, hdc in each space or stitch around, join with a sl st. (17 hdc)
Rnd 2-3: Ch 1, hdc in each hdc around.
Rnd 4: Ch 1, alternate fphdc, and bphdc around. Join. End off.

Alternate Cuff Rnd 1: Ch 1, sc in each space or stitch around, join with a sl st. (17 sc)
Rnd 2-4: Ch 1, sc in each sc around.
Rnd 5: Ch 3, sl st into next sc, *ch 3 sl st into next sc, repeat from *around to end.
Join, End off.

Now you can either crochet a chain 8” long or use a ribbon to weave through the first hdc round, for ties.
