Relay for Life

I am totally exhausted as we stayed all night. The teenagers there finally stopped yelling and playing at about 4 am... so I slept from 4 am till about 5:30 am. We broke camp and came home at about 7 and we unloaded and slept from 8 - 10 am. My family are all sleeping in chairs on the couch and one in bed. =)

I just can't sleep too long during the day. But I don't feel too bad.
I made the decision to sell all the chemo caps for $1 each. I ended up, because of Loomknittingnewbies group with nearly 600 hats to sell!

I sold 2 at the Fair last week at $5 each, and decided $5 was too much. So at $1 a piece and 40 weather and winds last night, everyone wanted a hat!! It was a small gathering because of the nasty weather, but we still managed to sell about 200 hats! It was great to see everyone walking around with 'angels' on their heads =) And I have no clue how ok? but I started out with 6 garbage bags filled with hats and sold 200+ but came home with 5 stuffed bags still for the hospitals!

It was like the loaves and fishes story! =)

All in all our Team made over $1000 for American Cancer society!

I want to thank everyone who helped make slumber caps, pink ribbon pins, and sent prizes for the games. You really made this event what is was for our family. Thank you. =)

I am listening for the 3rd time, to my new Fireside CD, 'Of one fold and one testament' and it is nourishment to my soul over and over. So much was said. I could really relate to what Ane Marie said, as I was raised in a family without religion too, and I know now that my Heavenly Father was always with me. He helped me find the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints by gently leading me down the right paths. I look back and am amazed every day at how I can see my Savior and my Heavenly Father in my dailt activities. They are there.

I remember, as Tomas talks about, how reading the Book of Mormon just didn't click with me immediately, and I had thrown it up into my attic, because I had been told what an evil book it was. That couldn't be farther from the truth. It brings the light of Christ deeper into my spirit, as I read it and pray and read the Holy Bible with it. So much of Jesus is found in the pages of the Book of Mormon.

Back to my original readings, it wasn't until I read Moroni 10:4 and I put it to the test on my knees and actually wanting to know truth, and talking directly to my Heavenly Father. He IS there and He does listen and answer our prayers.

Well, on to laundry as I am so far behind. HUG THE ONES YOU LOVE!
