Artwork by Robert J Barrett one of my absolute fave LDS artists!

Our sweet little Lucy died in the middle of the night on Saturday. I miss her, especially when I take a nap because she always used to snuggle up under my arm and purr. Mike buried her next to the pine tree near my garden and I placed a few rocks around the grave with a material rose in the ground. Sounds crazy, but she was my 'baby'...

I will move onto something else because writing about her just makes me cry, and I have shed tears enough for her this past week. She knew she was loved.

For those of you who love to make baby items, be sure to check out this page on my site:
http://www.bevscountrycottage.com/peds.html

as there are some hospitals there in need of items for the little ones.

Don't have much to post tonight. My girls are serving in the Vegas Temple right now, doing Baptisms for our ancestors, with the mutual kids. It's Katie's first time. What a loving service she is providing for someone who never heard of the Gospel and I hope she feels that warmth and the love of Christ from doing this.

I have been a bit overwhelmed lately, but I will snap back to normal, and there will be more blogs and fun -- I know I need to delve into my scriptures more deeply so I can feel that comfort and peace. =)

HUG the ones you love

Hi Bev,

Much love to you and your family on the loss of your sweet Lucy. I remember the pain well as we lost a beautiful cat three years ago. Although bittersweet and I loved him, I would not have my precious Angel now if not for that twist of fate.

When you're feeling up to it read http://www.geocities.com/missmarlad/angelsstory.html as it has a beautiful happy ending to an otherwise sad story. Maybe it will cheer you some.

Thanks for all the patterns- I'm getting the hang of some knitting so I may try some simple ones!!

So sorry to hear about your loss :( I know how much I love my cat, I'd be so upset if he was gone.

When you feel able, I had a question about one of your preemie hat patterns (I hope you don't mind me stopping here to ask!). I am making the preemie rib hat (on this page) and I'm not sure I'm doing the decreases right. Do I repeat from the first decrease row - k2, k2tog tbl - or just the k1, k2tog decrease row?

Hi Ms. Bev, i know how you feel about the loss of your "baby". I have a little deformed dog that is so spoiled its almost human and i also know that if anything happens to him i will be at a loss also. Its okay to mourn "Lucy". She was a good part of your life. Happy Thanksgiving. Teresa jfe_123@yahoo.com
