Joy

I have not posted this week for several reasons. It's been a stressful week, filled with tears for our oldest son who is going through some major trials, but a joyful week for our youngest son who received his Mission call yesterday!

Tim will be serving as an Elder in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints for the next 2 years, in the South Dakota, Rapid City mission!! We take him to the MTC March 12th so not long to prepare. He will be such an excellent missionary as he loves the Lord and loves people. Great combination for a missionary.

His mission covers South Dakota and North Dakota, parts of Minnesota, Iowa, Nebraska, a teeny bit of Montana, -- huge mission!

Thanks to all who have already sent or have offered to make and send some humanitarian items for the Humanitarian Table at the Clark County, NV Fair.
I have received some wonderful items and am excited to hear that others will be mailing things too. It will be a great booth!

I am planning to have some free handouts for people who want to make humanitarian items where they live too.

Hug the ones you love!
Bev

Bev, I know you have a bunch of patterns but I wanted you to know that LionBrand.com has premie patterns in their newsletter for this week. They are here: http://www.lionbrand.com/cgi-bin/lionbrand/displayCustomerProjects.fcgi?projectKey=37329&displayType=story

Congratulations for your younger son. That is so wonderful. I am not LDS but I fully respect the work the missionaries do. I do hope you will post his progress!!

So sorry to hear about all the stressors currently besetting your life, and sincerely hope that things calm down quickly in successful resolution. I didn't even know that LDS had missionaries here in the USA, I'd mistakenly presumed all the mission assignments were to foreign countries. Well, it's true that you learn something new every day, hey?! Do take care, Bev.
