Appalachian Mountain need

(graphic by cutecolors.com)
Good morning... hubby continues to improve- thanks to all who are praying for him. =) We heard from the 'First Responder' who arrived on the scene that it appears Mike dove head first and face first off his mop-ed either into the pavement or the gravel on the side of the road and not into a sign. He then, flipped head over heels (not a good thing to do at 50!) and slid. I am not sure we will ever know more. He is sleeping nicely right now as we had some good friends bring over a special wedge pillow system to pro him up comfortably in bed.

HELP NEEDED IMMEDIATELY...
This is from a co-worker of my son who works at McGraw Hill. Her church is making a trip to the Appalachians and items are needed before Dec. 6th please.

They need gently used kids coats and shoes/boots mostly, but any warm clothes, hats, mitts, scarves etc, and gently used/new teddy bears or other toys for the kids there.

My son told her about my website and that I have lots of friends who knit and crochet who might be able to help her out. Some patterns:
