Helping UMC in 2009 and another baby boy!!
Got the Christmas tree up and decorated. I am almost done with my Christmas gifts for my kids, and life is just good! I feel so blessed. We found out yesterday that my kids Christopher and Danielle are expecting a little boy in May!! WOO HOO!!! I am so excited. I just love little boys... good thing, since I had 3 of them. I am knitting BLUE!!!
Since my hubby recently spent some valuable time at UMC Hospital in Vegas, I decided I needed to do some baby hats and such for their newborns there.
I've set up a page with info on what they need and such, and would love anyone who feels inclined, to help out. Here's the page:

They can use newborn hats, booties, blankets, sweaters, and several other items for those new little ones. They don't need preemie items. I am not sure why that is, as they used to need them, but Suzanne (volunteer coordinator) told me they don't right now.
So, that's where my main focus will be in 2009 and I hope many of you will join me, OR make items for your own hospitals in need.
HUBBY NEWS!
We took Mike into the spinal surgeon specialist on Wednesday and again this morning with new x-rays, and he got a clean bill of health from him and removed his neck brace! No more neck brace! Mike is thrilled. I am a little, I guess, worried, that it is too soon after the accident since he broke 2 bones in his neck... but I am not the specialist so...
Anyhow, I will get over my worry, and I owe all of you a huge thank you for the miracle-inducing prayers you have offered for the past 3 weeks. This truly has been a miracle and we are both so grateful to everyone here who helped us with meals, with rides to Vegas, with prayers, with well, just support and love.
Thank you!
I don't know what I would do without my dear husband. What a great man he is and I love him so very much. It's been 29 years of marriage, one trial after another, and so much joy in each day, and I could not love him more.
HUG THE ONES YOU LOVE!
Bev
